Esther 1:1-9
King Xerxes threw a party for 6 months! All the inportant people like generals were invited. Afterwards he threw a party for everyone else. Queen Vashti also threw a party for all the wemen.
My opinion:
King Xerxes wasen't trying to be kind by throwing a party he was trying to get everyone druk so they would go to war fo him. He didn't know how to be a leader so he was trying to be thier friend.
